Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflexes in your feet, hands, and ears that correspond to all parts of the body: glands, organs, and the actual body structure.
Reflexology therapy is scientific, in that by using specific techniques to the reflex points on the feet and hands that correspond to certain parts of the body – tensions and blockages are released, allowing the free flow of vital energies, and helping the body to heal itself.
There are over 7,200 nerve endings in each foot. Our feet hold one-fourth of all the bones in the body and are recognized as a gold mine of opportunity to enhance your health and wellbeing.
It is well known that STRESS is the cause of many health issues. Stress cannot be avoided and is neither good nor bad depending on how we manage it. Reflexology reduces stress by helping the body, mind, and spirit to relax and rediscover its natural balance.
Reflexology Course
In June of 2007, Governor Kulongoski signed a Senate Bill 399 exempting Reflexology from regulation by the Massage Board. This enabled Reflexologists to practice their therapy independently of the Board and this inspired me to start teaching Reflexology in Southern Oregon to help maintain the integrity of the Practice.
Right now in Oregon, there are no regulations on the Practice of Reflexology which prompted me, as a practicing Reflexologist here in the Rogue Valley, to develop a Reflexology course to maintain the integrity of the Practice.
The course consists of: Three 2-day workshops, 30 hours of case studies, and a 2-hour private meeting (in person or on the phone) when case studies are completed.
After each weekend course, you will receive a “Certificate of Attendance.” On completion of the entire course, including case studies, you will receive a “Certificate to Practice Reflexology”.
